North Chimineas Ranch Family Upland Hunt, Carrizo Plains Ecological Reserve, San Luis Obispo Co. Open to dove, rabbit and a potential for wild pig hunting (further information will be given to successful applicants). This hunt will accommodate 60 hunters. Maximum hunt party size of 3 hunters. North Chimineas Ranch Mobility Impaired Upland Hunt, Carrizo Plains Ecological Reserve, San Luis Obispo Co. Open for dove, rabbit and a potential for Wild Pig hunting (further information will be provided to successful applicants). This hunt will accommodate 3 Mobility Impaired hunters and their parties. All applicants must possess a valid California hunting license, and all adult hunters must possess a valid upland game bird stamp. Maximum hunt party size of 3 hunters and a total quota of 9 hunters. Consumnes River Preserve Hunt, Arno Road Unit, Sacramento County – September 1, 2019 (1302)

Consumnes River Preserve Hunt, Arno Road Unit, Sacramento Co. The Cosumnes River Preserve is located next to Highway 99 between Elk Grove and Galt. There will be one morning hunt scheduled for opening day. The hunt will be at the Arno Road location and can accommodate 15 hunters (maximum hunt party size is 3 hunters). Los Banos Wildlife Area Hunt, Merced County – September 1, 2019 (1401)

Los Banos Wildlife Area Hunt, Merced Co. Area will accommodate 100 hunters total (max party size of 3). Reservations will be taken starting 2 hours before shoot time. Reservations will be void one hour before legal shoot time. After 12 p.m., permits will be issued by self-registration and all the hunting areas are open to general use. North Grasslands Wildlife Area-China Island Hunt, Merced County – September 1, 2019 (1501)

North Grasslands Wildlife Area-China Island Hunt, Merced Co. This hunt will accommodate 40 hunters (maximum party size of 3). A permit will be required for the morning hunt. Permits will be issued at the China Island Area main parking lot starting with reservations 2 hours before shoot time. Reservations will be void 1 hour before shoot time. Any spots available after reservations expire will be filled on a first come, first serve basis. North Grasslands Wildlife Area, Salt Slough Unit, Merced County – September 1, 2019 (1601)

North Grasslands Wildlife Area, Salt Slough Unit, Merced Co. Area will accommodate 30 hunters (max party size of 3). Permit will be required for the morning hunt. Hunters without a reservation may sign up for a lottery the night before at the Salt Slough check station. Reservations will be taken first, starting 2 hours before shoot time. Any remaining space will be filled from the lottery list. Reservations will be void one hour before legal shoot time. San Felipe Valley Wildlife Area-Oak Grove Unit, San Diego Co. Hunt is 6:30 AM to Noon. Hunt area is a sub-unit of San Felipe Valley Wildlife Area. Entrance is located off HWY 79 approximately 1.7 miles South of USFS Oak Grove Campground or 12 miles North of Warner Springs. Hunt will accommodate 24 hunters. Up to 3 hunters may apply in a party. Hunting dogs are allowed but the Department will not be providing any hunting dogs for this hunt. All dogs must remain within the owner’s control. San Felipe Valley Wildlife Area – Oak Grove Unit, San Diego County – September 8, 2019 (1904)

San Felipe Valley Wildlife Area-Oak Grove Unit, San Diego Co. Hunt is 6:30 AM to Noon. Hunt area is a sub-unit of San Felipe Valley Wildlife Area. Entrance is located off HWY 79 approximately 1.7 miles South of USFS Oak Grove Campground or 12 miles North of Warner Springs. Hunt will accommodate 24 hunters. Up to 3 hunters may apply in a party. Hunting dogs are allowed but the Department will not be providing any hunting dogs for this hunt. All dogs must remain within the owner’s control. Canebrake Eclogical Reserve – Located off Hwy 178. The Reserve is 10mi east of Lake Isabella on north side Hwy 178.

Carrizo Plains Ecological Reserve, San Luis Obispo Co. – Located off Hwy 166, 45 miles east of Santa Maria and 25 miles west of New Cuyama. Parking lot and entrance gate are at mile marker 45 on the north side of the highway.

Hunt is on October 26, 2019 8:00 AM. 10 hunters will be drawn.  Maximum hunting party size for this hunt is 3 hunters. This is a challenging hunt and is not recommended for first time hunters. Hunting dogs will be provided for this hunt. All applicants must possess a valid California hunting license. Chimineas Mobility Impaired Upland Game Hunt, Carrizo Plains ER, San Luis Obispo County – January 4, 2020 (2910)

Peace Valley – Department of Water Resources – Quail Lake Detention Dam Area, Los Angeles Co. – Located approximately 7 miles South of Gorman, off Quail Lake Road at Hwy 138 and Interstate 5 connection.

Hunt is on January 11, 2020 7:00 AM – Noon. 12 hunters will be drawn. Maximum party size of 3 hunters. All hunters must be on the application at time of submittal. Hunting dogs are allowed and must remain in the immediate control of the hunter at all times.  Applicants must have a California hunting license. Adult hunters must have an upland game bird stamp.
